Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and we use no advertising or tracking. This page explains exactly what we keep and why.

Draft. This page is being reviewed by a lawyer and may change before Harmonic Pro Studio launches.

Who we are

Harmonic Pro Studio and harmonicprostudio.com are run by Westroo Digital (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo, Sri Lanka. We are responsible for your personal data. Contact: hello@harmonicprostudio.com.

The launch list

When you join the launch list we store:

  • your email address;
  • which form you used (for example, the home page);
  • the creator code, if you arrived through a creator’s link;
  • the date and time, and the version of the sign-up wording you agreed to.

We use this only to tell you when Harmonic Pro Studio launches and, occasionally, about major releases. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us, and we will delete your address.

To stop automated abuse of the form, we keep a short-lived record of sign-up attempts. It holds a one-way coded version (a keyed hash) of your connection’s IP address, never the address itself, and is deleted within a day.

Visiting the website

  • No cookies for tracking or advertising. We set no cookies at present. Our network provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated attacks.
  • Stored in your own browser only: your light or dark theme choice, and a creator code if you followed a creator’s link. These stay on your device and are not sent to us unless you submit a form.
  • Server logs: like every website, our servers and our network provider briefly record technical information for each request (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to keep the site running and secure.

The software

This section will be completed before Harmonic Pro Studio is released. In summary, the software is designed to need very little:

  • Account and activation: an email address, and a coded fingerprint of your computer’s hardware (not the raw details), so a licence or free trial is tied to the right machine. Activation happens once; after that the software works offline.
  • Licence checks: when you are online, the software may confirm that a licence has not been refunded or cancelled. It sends a licence identifier and the version number, nothing else.
  • Usage count: an anonymous signal that an installation is active, so we can count active users. It contains no personal data and no project data.
  • Crash reports: optional, and can be switched off.
  • Nimi: an optional cloud feature, off until you switch it on. When you use it, your conversation and a description of your project (such as track names, settings and structure, but not your audio or file paths) go to us, and we pass them to the AI service we use to answer. Audio leaves your computer only for a feature that needs it, and only when you agree each time. Nothing is sent unless you use Nimi.
  • Your music stays yours: your projects and recordings stay on your computer. We do not collect them.

Purchases

When paid plans launch, purchases will be handled by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle, who processes your payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive the information needed to issue your licence, such as your email address and what you bought, but never your card details.

Who processes data for us

  • Amazon Web Services: hosting of this website and its database.
  • Cloudflare: network security and delivery, and software downloads.
  • An email service: to send launch-list emails (to be named here once chosen).
  • Paddle: payments, from launch.
  • AI services: to run Nimi, if you use it (to be named here before launch).

These providers may process data outside Sri Lanka. We only use providers that protect personal data to a recognised standard.

Why we are allowed to use your data

We use your email address because you asked us to (your consent), and we process technical data because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site and software secure and working.

How long we keep it

Launch-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Sign-up attempt records are deleted within a day.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@harmonicprostudio.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The launch list is not intended for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell launch-list members about any important change.
