Harmonic Pro Studio Advance EQ automatic music-aware EQ plugin
  • It does the EQ for you

Low and high cuts, tone balance, ringing resonances, room for the lead and sudden build-ups: five kinds of moves, each in its own layer.

  • It knows the music

It reads the song’s notes, chords and sections while you play, so it never cuts the notes your track is actually playing.

  • It explains itself

Every move is listed with its reason in plain words, and any move can become a fixed band of your own with one click.

What makes it different

Most automatic EQs hand you a curve and ask you to trust it. Advance EQ shows every move it makes and why, protects the notes and chords of your song, and only cuts unless you allow it to boost. Its output is matched to the loudness of the input, so it never sounds better just because it is louder.

Features

  • Five automatic layers: Auto Cut, Tone, Resonance, Unmask and Dynamic
  • Reads the song’s notes, chords and sections to protect the music
  • Hears the notes played on audio tracks too, and on a bus the notes of every MIDI track routed into it
  • Low end kept safe: below 70 Hz only mains hum is notched, so kicks, 808s and basses keep their weight
  • Every move listed with its reason in words
  • Commit, Lock or Ignore any move to take control
  • Separate settings for a track, a group and the master, chosen automatically
  • Recognises the instrument from the track’s name and aims for a suitable tone
  • Unmask makes room for a lead signal fed to its sidechain
  • Cuts only by default, with safe limits on every layer
  • Output matched by perceived loudness (BS.1770, the LUFS standard) for fair comparisons
  • Live spectrum with the curve of every layer, and a notes overlay
  • Full automation; every edit is one step on the studio’s undo list

Requirements

Harmonic Pro Studio 1.0 or later, on Windows or macOS. Editions and pricing are announced at launch.

Questions

Do I have to set it up?
No. Add it to a track and press play. It knows whether it is on a track, a group or the master, and makes its first moves after a few seconds of sound.
Will it change my sound too much?
It only cuts unless you allow it to boost, every layer has a limit, and its output is matched to the loudness of the input.
Can I take over a move?
Yes. Commit turns any automatic move into a fixed band of your own, Lock fixes a cut, and Ignore tells a layer to leave a frequency alone.
Where can I learn every control?
The user manual has a full page on Advance EQ.
