Harmonic Pro Studio Auto Pitch Live real-time vocal pitch correction plugin
  • Hear it in tune, sing it in tune

While the track monitors its input, the singer hears the corrected voice in their headphones less than 3 ms late: about the delay of standing a metre from a speaker.

  • Nothing to set up

On Auto it hears the key from the singing and tunes to it. No key to type and no chords to write. Or pick a key, the chord lane or a MIDI part.

  • The take stays as sung

The take is recorded dry, exactly as it was sung, so nothing is decided for you. Tune it later, note by note, in the Audio Editor.

What makes it different

A singer who hears themselves in tune sings with more confidence. Auto Pitch Live is made for that moment, and only that moment: the corrected voice reaches the headphones in less than 3 ms, with nothing else added on the way. It waits for a note to settle before it moves it, keeps the singer’s vibrato, leaves slides, breaths and “s” sounds alone, and keeps the character of the voice and its stereo image. A voice crack never sends the correction an octave away. And because the take is recorded dry, it plays back exactly as it was sung.

Questions

How much delay does it add?
Less than 3 ms, at any sample rate. The face shows it: SINGER HEARS IT 2.7 ms LATE at 48 kHz. The studio makes up for it, so your track stays in time.
Does it tune the take on playback?
No. Auto Pitch Live is made for what the singer hears while recording. The take is recorded dry and plays back exactly as it was sung. To tune the take, use the pitch editing in the Audio Editor.
Do I have to tell it the key?
No. On Auto it hears the key from the singing and tunes to it; until it is sure, it tunes to the nearest note. You can pick a key, the song’s key, the chord lane or a MIDI part whenever you want.
Will it sound robotic?
Only if you want it to. With the default settings it waits for a note to settle, keeps the vibrato and leaves slides and breaths alone. Turn Speed right down, or load the Hard or Classic robot preset, for the hard-tuned effect.
Does it work on a stereo vocal?
Yes. Both sides are corrected together, so the stereo image stays where it was.
Where can I learn every control?
The user manual has a full page on Auto Pitch Live, with every control, the targets and recipes.
