Harmonic Pro Studio Sonic EDM synthesizer
  • Four layers at once

Stack up to four sound sources in one patch and compare them side by side: every layer’s voices, detune, width, level and pan sit in one row.

  • Huge by design

Up to nine unison voices per layer, spread wide or into a whole chord, for the supersaws, stabs and pads that fill a festival room.

  • Everything on one face

Two filters, four envelopes, four LFOs, two step sequencers, an arpeggiator, five effects and a mastering-style output, with no hidden pages to dig through.

What makes it different

Sonic is built around its layers: you see all four at once, so a thick stack is something you shape across the rows, not one menu at a time. Each layer’s unison can spread over a chord as well as detune, every envelope and LFO has its own direct targets, and a 15-slot matrix with four named macros is there when you want more. It comes with 120 patches made for dance music, each at a matched loudness.

Features

  • Four layers per patch, each with its own source: Analog, Noise, FM, Sync or Pulse
  • Up to nine unison voices per layer, with detune, width, density, and a chord spread of 21 shapes
  • Two filters in series or parallel: Ladder, State variable, Comb and Drive families, with drive and their own envelope
  • Poly, mono and legato, up to 16 voices, glide and analog drift
  • Four six-stage envelopes, four LFOs and two 16-step sequencers, each with direct targets
  • Arpeggiator with five modes, up to four octaves and a 16-step pattern of transpose, level and gate
  • Modulation matrix: 15 slots, two sources each, four targets, and four macros you can name and automate
  • Five effects: drive, phaser, chorus/flanger, delay locked to the tempo and reverb, with ducking
  • Output: glue compressor, three-band EQ, warm, soft and boost voicing, and a safety limiter
  • Velocity, mod wheel, aftertouch, polyphonic aftertouch, pitch bend and MIDI learn
  • 120 factory patches in eight EDM categories, a preset browser with tags, search and favourites
  • A/B compare and full automation

Questions

What kind of music is Sonic for?
Dance music first: house, trance, techno, future and festival sounds. Its 120 patches cover arps, basses, chords, effects, keys, leads, pads and plucks.
Is it hard to program?
No. A new Sonic starts with one saw through an open filter, and every control does nothing until you turn it. Or open LIBRARY and click a patch to hear it.
How many layers can play at once?
All four. Each layer has its own source and unison, and they all play every note together.
Can I save and share my sounds?
Yes. Your patches are saved as files in your user presets folder, ready to copy to another computer. Factory patches are never overwritten: edit one and save it as new.
Where can I learn every control?
The user manual has a full page on Sonic, with every section, the matrix, the browser and recipes.
