3.3 Audio
The audio device page, in three cards. Running now names the device, says what the stream actually opened on, and shows the sample rate, the buffer and the measured input, output and round-trip latency. Device holds the Driver (ASIO, WASAPI …) and the Output device. Rate & buffer holds the Sample rate, the Buffer — a list on WASAPI, the driver's own figure on ASIO, with ASIO Control Panel… in the card's header — and Exclusive output on WASAPI.
This page has an Apply device button, because a
device change stops the transport while the stream reopens. Press it when you
have chosen; if the device refuses, the previous one is kept and the page says
so. Nothing is remembered until the device actually opened.
