3.8 Import & Recording

Ask how to import — with this off, dropping audio uses the three choices below without asking. (This is where the import sheet's "Do not ask again" is turned back on.)

• Copy files to the project's Audio folder — keeps the project self-contained.
• Convert lower bit depths to 24-bit.
• Split stereo files into mono tracks.

A file at the wrong sample rate is always converted — it would play at the wrong pitch — and the original file is never changed; the copy is.

Browser preview: play on click, loop the preview, and the preview level in dB. They are the same three controls as the browser's own preview strip, and moving one moves the other.
